LITTLE THINGS

At the beginning of 2013, God gave me one instruction for the year: “Be faithful in the little things.”  Yesterday as I sat before the Lord reflecting on 2013, I was reminded of times when I was faithful to His Word to me and times when I was not.  It is truly “the little foxes that spoil the vine.” (Song of Songs 2:15) It is often the little things that no one sees but me and God that make the difference.  Sometimes it is not even what was done, but it is the heart attitude in which it was done.  It is the heart of the matter that matters.  (1 Samuel 16:7 …..for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.)

I feel like my grade on this for the year was a “C”.  So there is much room for improvement in the coming year.  At least I did not fail for the year.  J

I am thankful that God is a loving, merciful, and longsuffering Father. So I can start with a fresh clean slate for 2014.  Each day I can start with a clean slate as I come to Him for a fresh cleansing.  Great is His faithfulness!!!!

Psalm 130:3-4 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Lamentations 3:21-25 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
